IT IS A GOOD TIME TO BE AN AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEER!
The opening sentence of an article in the automotive business section of the June 2, 2016 Detroit Free Press written by Brent Snavely says,
“In 2015, automakers set an all-time record when they sold 17.47 million new cars and trucks. This year (2016), four forecasting firms say the auto industry remains on track to top last year’s record.”
Good news, right? But if you ask any human resource professional where they are going to find the necessary talent to support this “good news”, they will more than likely say, “Good question. I’m not sure.”
